La rubrique à 2 balles is a website aimed at french-speaking arts workers in Belgium, sharing resources on financial matters within the performing arts sector. Its aim is to provide financial education for artists and technicians, who are all too often left in the dark and isolated when it comes to these issues. In the face of increasing precariousness among arts workers, La rubrique à 2 balles offers a space for mutual support and listening, to better equip them and give them back power.

The website is organised into three tabs: the Q&A - where anyone can submit a question, the Resources - to explore other tools to further empower arts workers and help the circulation of initiatives, and a very useful Calculator tab.

La rubrique à 2 balles is a project by Manon Faure, production and administration director and co-director of Venedig Meer (her co-directors being Florence Minder and Julien Jaillot). It was born under the impulse of Émilie Maquest, from the training organisation La Curieuse.

For over 15 years, Manon Faure has been putting figures into spreadsheets, drafting meticulously structured, lengthy emails, and juggling double-entry bookkeeping, activity reports, dramaturgical feedback, financial investigations and the creation of flamboyant premier-night gifts. With her office right next to the stage and her mind always at the service of the artistic and technical teams, she has decided to embark, in her own way, on a career as an author: La rubrique à 2 balles, like an epistolary novel between Manon and her fellow arts workers.
