YELLOW

An elusive figure dressed in YELLOW rides through the streets of Brussels on an electric wheel. Don't miss his apparition in your neighbourhood...
In December 2021, artist Micha Goldberg performed A Mobile Light Poem XL Deluxe. Accompanied by a flotilla of riders on electric scooters dressed in costumes of lights, he floated in the streets of the 19 communes of Brussels.
3 years later, he's back with YELLOW.
We shiver. The cold December rain pours down on us and the sneaky wind finds its way in between our many layers of clothes. And when leaving our jobs, schools, institutions, shopping centers and hospitals we walk into a dark, grey and cold city.
That is the scenography of YELLOW.
YELLOW is an apparition. The apparition of a fluorescent character, a shiny torch. It's a performance and a poem in itself, a sublime poem on an electric wheel, interfering with everyday life.
YELLOW will be with us throughout the winter holidays, appearing on a street corner and disappearing on the horizon of a boulevard.
It is inspired by all the yellow-dressed bike riders and runners that make everything visible during rush hour. The color Yellow -if you ask ChatGPT- brings cultural vibrancy, like a poetic thread running through the city, reminding us that even on the harshness of concrete, life and creativity endure.
Each tour will start at a roundabout or square in Brussels, where our rider will begin with a ritual spiral.
The first excursion will take place 21 December. RDV Place Poelaert at 17:00.
